By signing up and using Fortress Mail you and we agree to the following conditions:

General Conditions
1. Fortress Mail has been designed for professional and domestic users. Each account under Fortress Mail is based on Bandwidth usage, which includes all emails received, including SPAM. The packages have been designed to provide enough bandwidth for any type of user, except of course the negligent or careless user. If bandwidth is either regularly exceeded or there is major abuse, then the account must be upgraded, or if the abuse is excessive then the account will be suspended, without refund. Suspension of the Fortress Mail account will not stop your ability to receive emails from your normal service provider.
2. Fortress Mail, to keep costs down, efficiency higher and high levels of security, is hosted outside of the EU. By using this service you agree that you accept this condition of our service. Just to put this in perspective, every time you us the internet for email or websites, there is every chance your data will travel halfway around the world, even if you are sending an email to your neighbour.
3. Fortress Mail has nothing to do with the sending of emails, this is done through your service provider. Fortress Mail only collects emails.
4. Netbanx, an established E-Commerce portal, provides our credit card service. We do not receive any of your credit card details, and when they are entered on the Netbanx pages, they are protected by encryption and banking systems that comply with the Financial Services Act.

What we agree to
1. We will never contact you to try and sell you any of our services, we are very anti-spam and as such will only contact you to answer any queries you have made or when there is a problem with you account.
2. As we are a UK registered company, we are governed by the UK Data Protection Act and therefore protect the identity of all our customers. None of your details, be they personal details, email addresses or any of the details in your online address book, will be disclosed to anyone, without your prior consent, as in accordance with the law of the United Kingdom.
3. Even though we collect your email on your behalf and then filter out the spam we still endeavour to have very little delay in you receiving your emails. Currently tests show that there should be no more than 5 minutes delay in receiving an email sent to your account.
4. Fortress Mail makes every effort to keep our servers secure and apply all security patches and updates as soon as possible. We have 24 x 7 security monitoring of our systems to ensure all your details and emails are protected accordingly.
5. Due to the nature of the Internet and the existence of hackers, we like everybody else cannot guarantee 100% service, however with our established backup systems, if any of our primary servers are affected by any technical or logical failure, we have a complete set of backup systems to continue with our service. Our current objective for service time is 98%, of 24x7.
6. Although we do not guarantee that the email you receive have any viruses in them, Fortress Mail uses an Industrial strength Anti Virus package, which comes as a free service to all our customers. This does not mean that you should not have your own Anti Virus software, but we should be providing your first level of protection against viruses and worms.
7. Even though our support system is via email, we have a sophisticated problem tracking system that manages all issues reported. If your issue cannot be resolved immediately we will give you a problem ticket number to help you track the support we give you. Our objective is to reply to every issue within 4 hours of receipt, during UK business hours.

What you agree to
1. By using Fortress Mail you agree to allow us to collect your email on your behalf. You agree for us to store all your email until you collect them from us.
2. You also agree that every email sent to your mailbox will be validated and that the validation message to the sender will explain how Fortress Mail works.
3. As a user all the access to your emails and online address book is protected by your username and password. You are responsible for these details and agree to protect them accordingly. Consider them as important as the PIN on you charge card.
4. Just because your have Fortress Mail it does not mean that you can now enroll on hundreds of spam lists or mailing lists. By using this service you agree to our fair use policy, which is based on the bandwidth available with your package.
